Transit Operations Planner I - OmniRide
OmniRide, a public transportation agency located in Prince William County, Virginia, is seeking a professional to fill the position of Transit Operations Planner I.
The Planner performs intermediate technical work supporting the Planning and Operations Department by maintaining transit schedules in multiple formats, coordinating bus stop sign installations and changes, maintains bus stop database, assisting with the implementation of new services and other service changes, assisting with Title VI activities, reporting to internal and external customers, and assisting with transit service oversight, and related work as apparent or assigned.
This position will develop and maintain key service statistics for proactive analysis and service change recommendations, assist with reviewing and recommending changes to run-cut generated by bus service contract operator, and assist with preparation of alternatives and analysis for new and modified service options. In addition, the Planner will monitor upcoming events, construction, etc. that may impact bus services; prepares detours and other service changes as needed, as well as manage inventory of bus stop signs and poles. This position also acts as liaison between PRTC and regional fare programs and assists staff with Title VI activities by collecting and analyzing necessary data for major service changes or other updates and working with multiple departments to ensure timeliness and accuracy of information.
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or related field and moderate experience in transit operations and planning practices, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires independent decision-making and strong organizational and time management skills.
Starting salary range is $64,745.00 - $84,169.00 depending on experience, plus attractive benefits. This position has the option of Hybrid office/telework after an initial training period.
