OmniRide to Add Sunday Service Starting August 28
You ask and OmniRide delivers – to destinations on Sundays! OmniRide will be adding Sunday Service to its list of mobility services starting August 28, 2022. Sunday service will include Local Woodbridge/Lake Ridge, Dale City, Dumfries, and Route 1 routes, along with the Prince William Metro Express. Sunday service will mimic the Saturday service schedule already in place.
This Weekend Service, in addition to Local and Metro Express service, is ZERO FARE. It will give residents the opportunity to enjoy weekend recreation, travel to work, or even attend church services. Riders can avoid dealing with local congestion on the way to destinations such as the mall, the movie theatre, grocery stores, and local parks. They can also take advantage of all that D.C. has to offer through the Prince William Metro Express, which provides service to the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station.
OmniRide is the operating name for the mobility services offered by the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC). The organization provides Local bus service in Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park; Express service for commuters along the I-95 and I-66 corridors to employment centers in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.; and Metro Express which connects riders with Metro Stations. In addition, OmniRide’s Employer Services assists local employers who wish to establish or expand an employee transportation program.
