OmniRide Express and OmniRide Metro Express Commuter Bus Fares
OmniRide fares must be paid using a physical SmarTrip card or a digital SmarTrip card in Apple Wallet or Google Pay. You can add fare to the SmarTrip card via the SmarTrip app. Cash is not accepted on OmniRide buses. Visit the SmarTrip page for more information.

Reduced Fare Eligibility on OmniRide buses is applicable to adults 60 years and older, persons with a disability or persons presenting a valid Medicare card. Senior citizen verification may be required. Riders eligible for reduced fares on OmniRide buses MUST PAY WITH CASH or a WMATA-issued (65+) Senior SmarTrip card or a Metro Disability ID/SmarTrip card. To be eligible for a WMATA-issued Senior SmarTrip card, passengers must be 65 or older. Passengers meeting OmniRide's reduced fare eligibility may apply for a Reduced Fare Eligibility Card by contacting OmniRide Customer Service or by downloading the form in English or Spanish. The completed form and any required supporting documentation should be mailed to OmniRide at the address on the form, faxed to (703) 583-1702 or converted to an electronic file and emailed to Omni@OmniRide.com.

OmniRide Express and Metro Express Transfer Options
Transfers are only available for fares paid with SmarTrip. They are good for 3 hours on the day issued.
Using a SmarTrip card – The electronic farebox will calculate and automatically deduct the correct fare from your SmarTrip card.
Between OmniRide Buses and VRE Trains
- VRE monthly pass holders -- boarding an OmniRide bus at a VRE Station or the bus stop nearest a VRE Station ride FREE. When riding an OmniRide bus to get to a VRE station, the applicable bus fare is required.
- ALL other VRE pass holders – are required to pay applicable bus fare when traveling to and from VRE stations.
Transferring To Other Regional Bus Systems
Transferring between OmniRide or OmniRide Metro Express buses and other regional bus systems is easy with a SmarTrip card. The electronic farebox will calculate and automatically deduct the correct fare from your SmarTrip card. Transfers must be made within 3 hours of boarding to receive credit. No transfer credit is given when transferring between OmniRide or OmniRide Metro Express buses and Metrorail.
Passengers paying cash and transferring to or from other regional bus systems will not receive a transfer discount and must pay the applicable fare for each portion of their trip. In order to receive a transfer discount on those services, riders must pay with SmarTrip cards.

Tokens cost $3.10 each and can be purchased in packs of 10 for $31.00. Tokens can be purchased by phone at 703-730-6664 or you can submit a completed token order form. – CURRENTLY SUSPENDED

Local Bus Day Pass must be purchased on OmniRide buses using a SmarTrip card. Day Passes are good for local travel within Prince William, Manassas, and Manassas Park all day on the date issued. See the SmarTrip page to learn how to buy a Pass.
Local Bus Weekly Pass must be purchased on OmniRide buses using a SmarTrip card. A pass is good for seven consecutive days from the date it is first used and expires at midnight of the seventh day. See the SmarTrip page to learn how to buy a Pass.

Off-route Trip Surcharge applies to all pick ups and drop offs at locations not along the standard route, including on-demand stops. Seniors and disabled with a Reduced Fare Eligibility Card are exempt from the surcharge.
