Proposed 2025 Balanced Budget Service Plan

Posted: 05/03/2024

On Thursday, May 2, OmniRide presented the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission with a revised 2025 Balanced Budget Service plan to address a funding reduction for the upcoming fiscal year.

OmniRide’s proposed 2025 Balanced Budget Service Plan combines cost-saving proposals to include an Express route fare increase, which allows us to maintain as much commuter service as possible. To close the remaining gap, a set of restructured and reduced service on limited commuter routes are combined with the elimination of one existing route and four routes that are currently suspended. Services operating along the I-95 and I-66 corridors would be impacted. No service reductions nor fare increases are proposed for local service.

There will be an FY 2025 budget listening session on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the community room at Manassas Mall.  Additionally, a formal public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the OmniRide Transit Center, 14700 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192. Following the public input process, OmniRide will make its final budget and service proposal to the PRTC board on Thursday, June 6, for final approval.
