OmniRide Policies
Holiday Service
There is NO OMNIRIDE BUS SERVICE on these holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
In addition, OmniRide Express buses DO NOT operate on the following holidays, but all other OmniRide buses (including OmniRide Metro Express, OmniRide Local and OmniRide East-West Express) operate regular service on:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving Friday
OmniRide Local, OmniRide Prince William Metro Express, and OmniRide East-West Express buses will operate on weekend schedules on the holidays below. However, OmniRide Manassas Metro Express will not operate on those holidays.
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
Inclement Weather and Other Emergencies
Sometimes OmniRide is unable to operate regular service due to weather conditions, disruptive events or other emergencies. The level of service OmniRide operates during these times varies depending on circumstances. See our Emergency Service Plan (ESP) for more details.
You can stay informed about OmniRide's service plans by:
- Looking for a Service Update on the homepage of OmniRide's website;
- Listening to a recorded message at (703) 730-6664;
- Checking for updates on local TV and radio news stations;
- Registering for OmniRide's Rider Express email and text message alert system.
Bike Racks
For the convenience of bicyclists, bike racks are available on all OmniRide Local and OmniRide East-West Express buses. Each rack holds two bicycles and is easy to use.
All OmniRide Metro Express buses also have bike racks, however due to scheduling requirements there are times when buses without bike racks must be used for trips on the Manassas Metro Express and Linton Hall Metro Express routes. Lost and Found
Items found on OmniRide buses will be held at the OmniRide Transit Center at 14700 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA for 30 days. To inquire about a lost item please:

- Send an email to Omni@OmniRide.com; or
- Complete our online Lost & Found Form.
A photo ID is required to pick up lost items.
Passenger Conduct
OmniRide reserves the right to deny entry to, expel and/or temporarily or permanently ban any person from OmniRide property and/or vehicles, who in the judgment of OmniRide management or its agent, is imperiling public safety or being a public nuisance. Actions that could imperil public safety or qualify as a public nuisance include, but are not limited to, (1) verbal or physical intimidation; (2) disrespecting the rights of other OmniRide patrons; (3) use of profanity; (4) lewd behavior; (5) refusal to pay a fare; and (6) defacing or otherwise damaging OmniRide-owned assets.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is NOT permitted on OmniRide buses. This includes vaping, e-cigarettes and any other forms of smoking.
Service Animals
Trained service animals may ride openly on all OmniRide buses but must be kept on a leash. All other animals must be contained in a cage and held on the passenger's lap.
Wheelchairs and Priority Seating
All OmniRide buses are wheelchair accessible, and each bus can accommodate two wheelchairs. Passengers in wheelchairs who plan to board at a bus stop are encouraged to call OmniRide's Customer Service office at (703) 730-6664 prior to their trip to ensure a wheelchair space is available.
For the comfort of our mobility-impaired passengers, some seats toward the front of every bus have been designated as "Priority Seating" and are marked with stickers on the windows. Please accommodate the special needs of mobility-impaired passengers by giving up those seats as needed.
