OmniRide Service Change Takes Effect April 21

For Immediate Release: 04/21/2025

OmniRide's next service change will take effect on Monday, April 21. New trips will be added to the Lake Ridge - Washington (981) and Front Royal/Gainesville - Washington (611) Express routes, resulting in revised timetables. Additionally, there will be minor changes to the map for the Prince William Metro Express (95) route. Routes not mentioned will not have any changes. New schedule brochures will be produced only for the 981, 611, and 95 routes.

In December, OmniRide began serving the Neabsco Garage in Woodbridge, located across from Sentara Medical. Several routes that previously served the OmniRide Transit Center have now moved to the Neabsco Garage. The 563 Woodbridge – Washington Navy Yard Express route originates at the new garage and may be an alternative for those experiencing recent overcrowding when they board at the Horner Road commuter lot. There is ample parking and available seats on 563 buses from that location. Riders can transfer to other routes at the Pentagon. OmniRide Express routes are experiencing increased ridership as the federal workforce returns to in-office work.
