Marketing and Communications Intern - OmniRide
The Marketing and Communication Intern is an opportunity for current or future students with an interest in the transit industry to gain valuable, real-world experience. Based on your interests and experience, you will have the opportunity to work closely with OmniRide staff. We are seeking applicants to begin the Internship in early May or June 2025 for three (3) to six (6) months.
Qualifications
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in transportation planning, urban and regional planning, public administration, communications, or a related field.
- Interest in transportation/transit planning, regional coordination, transportation/transit policy, transit technology, data analysis and mapping, communication/marketing, public finance, public administration, program/project management, etc.
- Willingness to learn through hands-on tasks, attending meetings, supporting OmniRide activities, etc.
- Collaborating with leadership, technical, and marketing communications team members in the preparation of content and/or graphics for digital or print-based materials
Internship Duration
The duration ranges from 3 to 6 months, with options for performance-based extensions with a weekly work schedule of 20 hours (minimum) up to 37.5 hours (maximum) per week and opportunities for telework.
Additional Information
This position will office out of the Woodbridge Transit Center. Work hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional work hours may include attending evening and weekend meetings or events.
Pay
OmniRide offers $18 to $20 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
