Metro Blue Line Construction, 7/5-7/26
Starting Saturday, July 5, through Saturday, July 26, there will be no rail service at the Franconia-Springfield or Van Dorn Street Metro stations due to track work and other construction projects. Blue Line trains will only operate to and from the Reagan National Airport stop. Customers will need to transfer to the Yellow Line to reach Potomac Yard, Braddock Road, and King Street-Old Town stations. Free shuttle buses will replace trains at Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street stations during the entire closure. An express shuttle bus will also be provided between Franconia-Springfield and the Pentagon throughout the closure.
OmniRide Metro Express service will not be impacted during this time. Metro staff will be on site to offer assistance. Passengers should follow the guidance provided at the Metro station to connect to the shuttle buses.
