OmniRide Recognized by Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2025
OmniRide is excited to announce that we have been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC) in 2025. This honor highlights our commitment to providing beneficial transportation benefits for our employees. The award was announced at the Center for Urban Transportation Research’s BWC List recognition event on Thursday, January 30th. This national recognition event showcased the new members of the program for 2025. "At OmniRide, we want our employees to enjoy coming to work so we try to offer amenities and benefits to make their commutes, which are often so bad in this area easier," said Joe Stainsby, Chief Development Officer. "Our commuter benefits program reflects that commitment and is also advantageous for business."
OmniRide applied for the BWC program in August 2024, and by the fall of 2024, we became the first organization in Prince William County to receive this designation! We’re not alone in this achievement; Micron Technology Inc was also recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters. OmniRide is looking forward to helping other employers become designated as a BWC. Our BWC program is designed to acknowledge and support innovative employers who offer transportation benefits that reduce traffic, enhance productivity, and promote sustainable commuting options for their workforce. We work with local employers to help them achieve this designation.
OmniRide's commuter benefits program offers secure bicycle parking, ride-matching assistance, onsite lockers and showers, telework options, and other services. Being recognized as a BWC distinguishes businesses as leaders in providing employee and commuter benefits. Companies that meet the BWC criteria demonstrate their commitment to supporting employees and reducing traffic congestion.
As a regional public transit agency, OmniRide’s Employer Services program assists local businesses in establishing and expanding commuter benefits programs for their employees. Our Employer Services are available free of charge to all businesses in Prince William County. We can help with emergency preparedness, carpool and vanpool formation, telework programs, alternative work schedules, and more.
